Feb 21 – Familial Hypercholesterolemia Health Fair (A Joint Event of the Mayo Clinic and the Family Heart Foundation)

DO YOU HAVE HIGH LDL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS?

You may have a condition called Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH). This condition is passed on in families. If you have it, it is likely that one of your parents, siblings, or children may also have inherited this disorder.

Mayo Clinic and the Family Heart Foundation are hosting a free family-friendly event.  This event will offer cholesterol screening, a chance to speak to medical experts, and special sessions on stress management, family-friendly activity sessions, nutrition demos, and presentations by physicians and patient advocates from the Family Heart Foundation.

You and your family members ages 2 and up are invited to attend this fun event on Saturday, February 21, 2015, 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center, 5th floor, 565 First Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905.

Please RSVP to CVEvents@Mayo.edu or call event coordinator, Deanna Constans, at 507-255-2548 for more information.
