FH Awareness Day Tweet-a-Thon

the Family Heart Foundation (FHF) hosted their first-ever, Tweet-a-Thon on Tuesday, September 24th, 2013 for FH Awareness Day. Participants in the questions and answer Twitter stream, included Dr. Seth Baum from Preventive Cardiology Inc., Family Heart Foundation President/Founder, Katherine Wilemon, FHF Board Member, Christian Jacobs and FH Advocate, Sean Thompson. The quick-paced discussion focused on defining and diagnosing FH, the risks of FH and the steps one should take if FH runs in your family. Many FHF Twitter followers chimed in to share their personal experiences with familial hypercholesterolemia and had their questions addressed and answered in real time by cardiologists and lipidologists. The Tweet-a-Thon was such a success that the Family Heart Foundation is planning to host another in the near future, so don’t miss out on the current discussions happening in FH today.
