Tweet-a-Thon
Every year, the Family Heart Foundation holds two Tweet-a-Thons – one on FH Awareness Day (September 24) and one on Lp(a) Awareness Day (March 24).
What’s a Tweet-a-Thon?
A tweet-a-thon is quick-paced, virtual conversation held on Twitter. The point is to cover peoples’ feeds with information on FH and Lp(a) and why it’s important. It’s a simple and quick way to raise awareness, led by the Family Heart Foundation.
Who Participates in a Tweet-a-Thon?
Anyone with a Twitter account! The Family Heart Foundation will invite a panel of experts to be on Twitter at the time of the event to lead the discussion. They will share personal experiences and facts about FH or Lp(a).
How Do I Join In?
To follow conversations on Twitter, you simply search hashtags. When you post a tweet with our hashtag, you’re added to the conversation!
On the day and time of the event, log in, search the hashtag, and get involved! You can re-tweet someone’s tweet, respond to their tweet, or write your own – just be sure to add the hashtag to your post!
- Hashtag for FH Awareness Day: #KnowFH
- Hashtag for Lp(a) Awareness Day: #KnowLpa
Keep refreshing the search page to see new tweets. New information and stories will pop up for the duration of the event. It moves fast, it’s fun, and it has the potential to reach millions around the world!
