Dr. Paul Thompson, cardiologist and lipidologist and Emeritus Chief of Cardiology at Hartford Hospital, will speak on statin intolerance. This webinar is jointly hosted by the New England Lipid Club and the Family Heart Foundation. Dr. Thompson has authored over 500 articles on such topics as the effects of statins on muscle function; the effects of Coenzyme Q10 on statin myalgia; and genetic factors increasing the risk of statin myalgia. Dr. Thompson is the Co-Editor of the book Statin Associated Muscle Symptoms.
